New Year, New Look, & the Path of Least Resistance

I’m delighted to announce that Cheryl Ilov International is celebrating the new year with a new name and a new look. Honestly, I never felt comfortable with the name, for several reasons.

First of all, it felt pretentious. Next, it certainly didn’t represent the type of work I do. Finally, I wasn’t the one who chose it.

Several years ago, in 2017, I had started working with a highly sought after and well known business coach in Denver, who recommended the change to elevate my profile to a higher level. After much convincing, I reluctantly agreed.

Then I discovered that all of his clients had the same template; Their Name International. It felt weird, and for several years I thought about changing it. The opportunity came as a blessing in disguise.

When I moved to Missouri in September, I thought I would be able to transfer my LLC from Colorado to Missouri. Then I found out it wasn’t that simple. Instead, it was a complicated process that took three weeks of research, phone calls, and beating my head against the wall. After reviewing the 3 options which were presented to me, I chose the path of least resistance.

So, I dissolved my LLC in Colorado and started a new one in Missouri. Easier said than done. More phone calls, more research, and a call with another business coach in Denver, one that I have worked with before and who was a bit more flexible in her thinking than my previous one. While we were brainstorming for a name for my business, the words “How about Ilov Empowered Movement?” popped out of my mouth.

She exclaimed “Bingo! That’s it!” And I was on my way. Well, that was just the beginning. There were still more hoops to jump through, and there’s still a lot more work ahead of me. But I’m actually looking forward to it, and I believe it’s a great way to start a New Year! Happy New Year, and stay tuned for updates!
